Homestead London staff and tenants support The Next Generation
During the United Way of London & Middlesex’s GenNext Backpack Drive campaign, the staff of the London area along with their tenants provided 28 backpacks, boxes of school supplies and cash donations.
The United Way of London & Middlesex started the GenNext Backpack Drive in an effort to ensure all children heading off to school had the basic supplies they needed to start the scholastic year off right.
Backpacks were left at each building in London and tenants and staff were asked to donate supplies to fill the backpacks. The response was overwhelming! Every backpack was filled with more then enough items for a school year. The supplies were distributed to school aged children in London prior to the beginning of the new school year.
Our sincere thanks to Greg McKinlay, Property Manager, for bringing the campaign to our attention and spearheading Homestead London’s efforts and to our staff and tenants for supporting a great cause. We look forward to supporting the effort again next August.
